Support is provided to paid subscribers only. If you need help from us getting FocalPoint running on your server please purchase a subscription and contact us via the forum. We offer a money back guarantee.

As a general rule we provide support not consultation. That means we can help getting our product up and running with the features represented in our demo. Anything more than that, like implementing extra features, customisation or training your clients, is consultation. Our Support is provided as a service to support our product. Consultation is an expensive service you pay by the hour for and is outside the scope of this support service.

We will do our best to answer all support requests promptly. Support is provided from Western Australia during WA business hours - GMT+8 on week days only. As a general guide we are 8 hours in front of England and 12 - 15 hours in front of the United States.  In many cases it may take up to 24 hours to get a response. This probably means we are sleeping while you are working. It doesn't mean we don't care. We do.

What's the time in Perth right now?

Support can only be provided to active subscribers via our support forum. We can not accept support requests directly via email. We may on occasion request sensitive information be emailed directly to support staff.

Support is provided in English only.


What about the free version?

Bug reports and feeback from our free users is crucial for the ongoing development of FocalPoint. We definitely want to know if you've encountered issues. Unfortunately, we don't have the resources to provide support for a free product. But we would like to hear from you if you have identified a bug or are experiencing issues. We will respond where possible. Plese report bugs to


What can we help with?

  • Technical issues.
    We can help with identifying, and usually providing a solution, to any technical issues getting FocalPoint up and running on your server.
  • Fixing bugs.
    If you've identified a bug, that's great. We'll fix it. If it requires a lot of work it will be added to our issues list for the next update and we'll work out something for you in the meantime. Unfortunately, a non-existant feature is not a bug.
  • Minor CSS tweaks.
    We can provide advice on minor CSS tweaks if there are display issues with your template.


What can't we help with?

  • Major CSS or code changes.
    FocalPoint is provided "as is" and should fit in to most templates. The FocalPoint stylesheets don’t contain any font, size, line height or color declarations whatsoever. All paragraph, heading and link styles are inherited from your template. However, if you would like to customise the layout or change the CSS you have full access to the source code and can use Joomla's override system to build your own templates. 
  • Making FocalPoint work on outdated versions of Joomla.
    FocalPoint has been developed for Joomla 3.x and works on the latest stable version. We work hard to keep it up to date with the latest stable Joomla version.
  • Adding new features.
    FocalPoint has been designed to be a feature rich application to suit a very broad market. Making functional changes to suit your specific requirements isn't possible as support. However, we would still like to hear from you. If the feature request is something that could benefit many users we may consider it for addition to our development road map. We can also provide a quotation for customisation or recommend 3rd party developers.
  • Fixing your changes.
    If you've made changes to core FocalPoint files and are experiencing issues we can have a look for you but can't guarantee to provide a fix. Often what seems like a 5 minute job can take 2 developers three days to complete.
